Study Plan


The course will cover many book-keeping topics including:

  • Manufacturing accounts
  • Methods of stock valuation
  • Calculating and interpreting accounting ratios
  • Partnerships
  • Limited Liability companies
  • Ledger entries for special transactions
  • Producing Accounts from Incomplete Records
  • Preparation of Final Accounts in Vertical and Horizontal Format
  • Accounting training practice question

Study Details


There are two main study modules throughout the course.  At various intervals throughout the course you will need to complete a total of 20 assignments.  Your completed assignments give your personal tutor the opportunity to assess your progress and provide you with feedback and advice.

Once you have completed all of the study modules and assignments you will be required to sit two exams.

  • Level 3 Manual Bookkeeping - taken at an external assessment centre
  • Level 3 Computerised Bookkeeping – taken at home
Most students can complete this advanced Book-Keeping course within approximately 300 hours of study.
