The CIW Foundations & Web Design Specialist programme will prepare you to begin your new career instantly by ensuring you learn the skills required in the real-world. As you work your way through the study units you will learn about a host of topics involved in web design including FTP (File Transfer Protocol), email, web browsers, basic infrastructure networking, HTML (Hypertext Markup Language).  The course has been designed by industry experts to ensure you a trained with a balance of theory, technology and hands-on-development.

Prior to beginning this course students need to have experience of an operating system such as Microsoft Windows XP.

Qualifications

Once you have completed the course materials you will be ready to take the two following examinations:

• CIW Foundations Associate 1D0-510 exam leading to CIW Associate certification
• CIW Web Design Specialist 1D0-520 exam leading to CIW Web Design Specialist certification

Once you have successfully completed the exams you will be awarded the CIW Associate Certificate and the CIW Web Design Specialist Certificate.

Study Details

The CIW Foundations & Web Design course covers 4 core modules which are contained within 15 workbooks. As you work through the modules you will be given a total of 61 assignments to complete. Each time you complete an assignment you will send it to your dedicated tutor to be assessed. This enables the tutor to assess your progress and provide you with feedback.

It takes the average student approximately 430 hours of study to complete the course.
